Undocumented and unapologetic, Mariella has led workshops at The City University of New York, Portland State University, The University of Utah, and many other academic and holistic settings. Always enthusiastically, and often giddy, Mendoza’s approach to learning is an organic one, which weaves together stories from far away and today.

From chanting in the streets, to discussing critical rhetoric with youth, Mendoza’s ability to lead energetic dialogue comes from first-hand experience with the topics they bring to the table. Through keynotes, talleres, and art shares, they set the tone for vulnerable truth-telling and accessible learning, in an intersectional and intentional manner that encourages participants to not just listen, but be moved.
